Day 1 Cairo Tours:

A Discovery Tours Representative will pick you up from a hotel in Hurghada or El Gouna by private air-conditioned modern vehicle for a flight to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo you will be met by our Egyptologist guide who will accompany you for your excursion.

First you will discover the Egyptian Museum which features artefacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art, which is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world, over 250,000 genuine artefacts are presented. Including also an exhibit dedicates to Tutankhamen collection of treasure, gold and jewellery which was enclosed in his tomb for over 3.500 years before it was discovered in the 1920 when his tomb was excavated. We recommend you knowledge guide with academic qualification to make your tour to Egypt extra special.

Proceed to have your lunch at local restaurant in Cairo. Then we will move on to the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus, then The Great Sphinx with a head of pharaoh and lion's body, which dates back to the time of Chephren, the tour also includes a visit to the valley Temple, which belongs to the Pyramids of Chephren. After that you will have free time for shopping in Khan El Khalili Bazzar, one of the most famous and oldest bazaars in the Middle East. In the evening you will be driven to Cairo Airport for flight to Luxor where you will be met and transferred to your hotel in luxor.

Day 2 Luxor Tours:

You will be picked up by a private air-conditioned vehicle from your hotel in Luxor after having breakfast at your hotel. After that our Egyptologist guide will accompany you to discover the Karnak Temples, the greatest example of worshiping in the history and was dedicated to god Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu.

Proceed to have your lunch at local restaurant. Then visit the Valley of the Kings, the magnificence of the grandeur of architecture which was used for burial, there are many kings buried in this valley. The most known tombs are king Tutmosis l, Tutmosis lll, Tut-Ankh-Amon, King Ramssess Vl, King Mrenptah and Amonhotep ll. Continue the tour to visit the Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir El Bahary,  the only pharaonic woman who ruled ancient Egypt. This impressive Temple was built as a dedication to God Amon-Re, who was Hatsheput's father in her legend. Then proceed to see the Colossi of Memnon, the only remains of the Temple of Amenophis lll. After that, you will be transferred by a private air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel in Hurghada.

We operate a simple children’s price policy as detailed below; this discount is not applicable on excursions with flights or sound and light shows.

It is important that the ages above refer to the age when travelling.

Payment Policy

It is advisable to reserve your Egypt excursions as early as possible, thus ensuring that you can relax with the knowledge that you have secured the best trip for you. To ensure the excursion is reserved and secured with Discovery Tours Egypt we will request a deposit of 10% from the total amount due and the rest you simply pay when you arrive to Egypt.

Tipping & Gratuities (Clients Discretion)

Throughout all our tour pages you will see the words “tipping & gratuities” always shown within the excluded section of the tab on “specifics”.  It is customary in Egypt to express ones satisfaction of the service received from the staff that have looked after him throughout his trip. It is not obligatory however it is well received amongst the staff that will be looking after you; our personal motto is “tip little but often”.
